BCM - How did your life change when you became a mom?
Lindsay - I have learned how to balance my work life, my married life and my life as a mother.
BCM- What has been your most memorable moment as a mom?
Lindsay -Every night when we sneak into our daughter’s room and watch her sleep.
BCM- What has been the biggest challenge for you in motherhood?
Lindsay
I am always so preoccupied with what I should be doing for Maya that I always forget about myself!
BCM- How do you manage your work/life balance? Any advice for new moms?
Lindsay -
Recognize your limitations. If you need a nanny or help from a family member or friend in order to be an effective mom and successful career woman, get the help you need.
BCM - Do you take classes with your daughter? What are your
favorites?
Lindsay - We loved Little Maestros – Rocking with Andy is always great. Rock a baby at the JCC is fun for 12-18 month olds.
BCM - Other than classes what activities do you like to do with your Daughter?
Lindsay - Playground, book readings at the library, museums.
BCM- How do you maintain your sense of style while juggling several businesses and your daughter?
Lindsay - Wardrobe overhaul. It’s key to find clothes that represent your style, but that are comfortable and allow you to move as a mom, I love tunics with leggings and knee boots.
BCM- What are your favorite Mom Essentials and why?
Lindsay - Aquaphor, I use it for everything. Disposable plastic placemats – the best for restaurants.
BCM- If you could give another mom or expectant mom one piece of advice, what would it be?
Lindsay - Use baby sign language, it eliminates a lot of communication frustrations.
BCM - What has been your favorite Big City Moms event (s)
Lindsay - The Halloween party and the biggest baby shower ever!
