(These ages are only estimates.  Always go by what your baby can do.)

Things to remember:

  • Introduce one new food at a time. Wait 2 – 3 days between new foods to watch for an allergic reaction.
  • Choose only whole fat products such as whole milk, yogurt and cheese.  Low-fat products can be given after the age of two
  • Avoid hot dogs, grapes, popcorn, hard candy and nuts to prevent choking
  • Avoid honey until after the age of 1
  • Limit juice to no more than 4 – 6 oz per day
  • Always talk to your Pediatrician and Dietitian if you have questions
