Benjamin Rosen has been practicing in the field of Adoption Law since 1969, is an adoptive father and has been a foster parent to 14 children. His firm represents several major New York City foster care and adoption agencies as well as sever al out of state adoption agencies. He is a member of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys and has served on its board of trustees. He has lectured on adoption at the American Bar Association's annual meeting, at the New York County Lawyers' Association, the PLI Adoption Law Institute and yearly to the Adoptive Parents Association. He was a member of the United States Senate Advisory committee on The Hague Conference on International Adoptions and in 2007 he received the Kathryn A. McDonald award for significant contribution to the New York City Family Court.
Rebecca Mendel has been with her firm since 1998 and is a member of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys. Her specialty is adoption law, and she is the attorney for private, agency and foster care adoption matters. She represents adoptive parents, birth parents, and adoption agencies. Ms. Mendel has also represented numerous foster care agencies in termination of parental rights proceedings and other aspects of foster care litigation. Ms. Mendel has lectured about adoption at the following locations: Association of The Bar of The City of New York, Mt. Sinai Hospital, New York Legal Assistance Group and the Jewish Child Care Association---Ametz-Adoption Program.
