Laura Fechter, Psy.D. is a Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience in private practice.  Dr. Fechter treats a wide range of presenting problems for adults and couples but has a specialty in infertility and adoption. When focusing on infertility Dr. Fechter helps the client understand the complex emotions they might be experiencing including feelings of sadness, loss, inadequacy, and guilt. For those clients pursuing adoption common treatment issues include mourning the loss of the biological connection, concerns about birthparents, and fears as to whether there will be attachment difficulties. In working with infertility and adoption issues the goal is always to reduce stress and provide support during what can be a very challenging time in life.
