Be Brave Adventures
How would you teach your child to be brave?
Have fun. Get fit. Give back.

The Max Cure Foundation has commissioned Unplugged on a Rug to create an interactive fable of how Max, a 4 year old lion cub, learns to be brave. The story and program were inspired by advice from a doctor to Dave Plotkin, dad to real-life Max, during treatment to fight a rare form of cancer: “You have to teach Max to be brave.”

Unplugged on Rug has created a program that will fill the third floor of Kidville’s Beautiful Upper East Side location with an exciting boot-camp style fitness challenge using Danish-designed bObles Tumbling Animals, live percussion, cardboard boxes and other recycled play materials that the group is known for. Families will paint a keepsake canvas to remind them of their adventure, and create one as a community to hang in the pediatric unit of Memorial Sloan Kettering. There is a “Baby Adventure Space” for the littlest players featuring fitness play for baby and mom and live music throughout. The Z Brothers will perform a concert for all ages to dance and play along with recycled instruments to close the celebration. Each family will receive a “Thank You” gift bag by Big City Moms.

Families will enjoy the adventure knowing that 100% of the net proceeds of this event support the foundation and it’s goals to build a cellular research lab at Memorial Sloan Kettering. 50% of the program fee is tax deductable making it a good deed, a good time and a great deal.

And to top it off, all of this fabulous family fun will benefit kids battling cancer.
