I get to create our own family’s traditions, and it feels like such a privilege.

And it’s all worth it.

I know that when you’re in the thick of it, being told you only need to wait “a few months” for some relief can sound like an eternity.

Yes, it took us all down.

And I guess that’s just perfectly all right with me.

I am not perfect. And they know it.
