A Grown Man Reenacts What It’s Like to Put a 4-Year-Old to Bed

My 5-year-old has mastered the art of bedtime. She knows exactly what it takes to make tucking someone into bed take 25 minutes. Whether it’s wanting a drink of water, a stuffed animal, a book, a crayon, a tissue, having to go to the bathroom, a snack, the light on, the sound machine turned off…..you get the picture.

She’s passed on the trait to her 2-year-old sister who has recently picked up on the game and now adds on another 15 minutes to our routine because she wants the exact opposite of what her big sister wants (who’s sleeping in the top bunk.)

Apparently I am not alone in my struggle because in this episode of “Convos With My 4-Year-Old,” a series created by Matthew Clarke that reenacts real conversations that he’s had with his daughter (who’s played by a grown man,) they have a conversation that is all too familar.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at this episode because this is my life every single night.

It’s so much funnier when played by a grown man.
