Things to remember:
- Introduce one new food at a time. Wait 2 – 3 days between new foods to watch for an allergic reaction.
- Choose only whole fat products such as whole milk, yogurt and cheese. Low-fat products can be given after the age of two
- Avoid hot dogs, grapes, popcorn, hard candy and nuts to prevent choking
- Avoid honey until after the age of 1
- Limit juice to no more than 4 – 6 oz per day
- Always talk to your Pediatrician and Dietitian if you have questions
