We know how good it feels to get away from the kids for a little bit and take a much needed vacation with your girlfriends. There’s nothing better than sitting back, relaxing, and sipping on wine while enjoying girl chat. But it’s what leads up to the weekend that makes things stressful.
Before I leave for a few days away, I always make sure that everything is prepared for my husband and kids. I stock the fridge, lay the kids clothes out for each day, and even write down a schedule just in case my husband forgets. While he loves the reminders, one mom takes it a step futher and left a hilarious list of tips for her husband before she went away for a girls’ weekend.
The letter, written by Meghan Maza Oeser, was shared last Friday and has already been shared over 84,000 times.
“I’m writing this to you out of love, not fear. I wanted to go over a few things with you before you embark on this weekend alone…with the others,” she begins the note.
“Nighttime, daytime, breakfast time, and somewhere around lunchtime can easily be mistaken for pure HELL, with Satan coming off as a My Little Pony in comparison.”
She goes into detail about how the weekend will turn out, and from the looks of it, dad is going to have a pretty interesting time alone with the kids. At least she knows she can go off to her girls’ weekend knowing she covered all of the bases at home.
