BCM: If you could describe fatherhood in one word, what would it be?
AL: Joy (if “hard work” were one word, I would have given it serious consideration too 😉
BCM: What’s one moment in your fatherhood journey that has made you proud?
AL: Taking my daughter to the zoo for the first time and seeing her face light up from seeing all of the animals she’s learned about.
BCM: What is one piece of advice you want to pass along to your children?
AL: Life goes by faster than you think so enjoy every moment.
BCM: Congratulations on the success of Kaboost! What inspired you to create the toddler booster?
AL: I began working on KABOOST when I saw how toddlers at big family gatherings refused to sit in traditional booster seats, as they are for “babies.” They couldn’t sit comfortably at the table by themselves, so I wondered if there was a new way to solve an old problem. KABOOST was born.

M: What’s your best toddler mealtime tip?
AL: Aside for making sure your kid sits in a chair with a KABOOST, make mealtime fun!
BCM: What is one piece of advice you would pass along to other parents?
AL: The first few months is the toughest and it’s even tougher for mom, so make sure to check in with your wife (and often) to see if and how you can be of any help.
BCM: How do you tackle work/life balance?
AL: If it’s on the calendar, it’s more likely to happen, so I try to put as many social and other personal and family activities on the calendar and not only work stuff.
BCM: What is your favorite thing to do to relax and unwind?
AL: Burning Man
BCM: What is your best parenting hack?
AL: I made up a song that I’ve been singing to my daughter since she was 1-day old and this song still resonates with her until today and helps calm her down if she is upset or crying.
BCM: If you could hand off one chore to someone else each day, what would it be?
AL: We have two dishwashers in the house, one is called LG and the other A.L. (Amir Levin). I’d be happy to be relieved of some of my dishwasher duties.
BCM: What is the best white lie that you’ve told your child?
AL: I sprinkle coco powder on her oatmeal and tell her it’s chocolate cake!
BCM: What was the last book you read?
AL: The Singularity is Near
